And yet, does it matter? First of all, the game looks gorgeous, from the visuals to the enemy and environment design, which is really one of the highlights here for me in this stunning trailer. Mary: Do I know what the plot of Project Eve is? Not really, outside of it being a seemingly post-apocalyptic action-adventure anime game. What’s equally neat is SHIFT UP Corporation, the Korea-based developer behind Project Eve, got to be part of the showcase - which doesn’t often happen at big console shows! Was the whole demo running in real-time? Is the NieR: Automata influence intentional? How exactly does combat work? Hard to say on all accounts. Kyle: There are so many questions yet to I have with regards to Project Eve. It’s a bit of a meme at this point that some of PlayStation’s biggest games and announcements are just remakes of older games, yet the formula is working for them all the same and it’s clearly driving the hype machine.īetween this and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order back in 2019, Star Wars fans are feasting well in single-player video games. Mary: I never played the original Knights of the Old Republic, but even I know how revered this game is among Star Wars fans. It sounds like the remake is in good hands. The studio worked on titles like S tar Wars: Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast and even ported the original Knights of the Old Republic to Mac OS X and Android. While some fans might be disappointed that Bioware, the developers of the original game, is not working on this remake, Aspyr has quite the history with Star Wars. Though Aspyr were quick to let everyone know Knights of the Old Republic is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive in addition to being on PC as well. With only a brief CGI trailer shown off, there are not many details surrounding this remake just yet. And now, a full remake of it is coming courtesy of the folks over at Aspyr. Kyle: Whenever there’s a discussion on the best Star Wars game of all time, Knights of the Old Republic from Bioware inevitably gets a shout-out.
